
A
suspect in Corona, admitted to the isolation ward of Ballia District Hospital,
died on Wednesday morning. This caused a stir in the district. The
hospital administration has sent his body for postmortem as well as has been
sent to Gorakhpur for sample examination. There is no positive corona case
yet in Ballia.
It
is said that the 65-year-old old resident of village Ubaun police station area
used to work in fishing in Rajasthan. His work stopped in the lockdown
involving Corona across the country and he got stuck there. After not
getting any administrative help to return home, the old man along with seven
other people from his area walked towards the house on foot.
After
traveling for several days, all reached the village on Tuesday evening. Meanwhile,
the health of the old man started deteriorating. The villagers immediately
informed the tehsildar Jitendra Singh. On arrival, the Tehsildar called for
an ambulance and sent the old man to the district hospital. The seven
people who accompanied him were sent to the Quarantine Center.
On
arrival at the district hospital, the doctor on emergency duty started treating
the aged. The elderly had trouble breathing along with high fever and
cough. Seeing a similar symptom to Corona, the old man was admitted to the
isolation ward. Where he died on Wednesday morning while undergoing
treatment.
The
hospital administration informed the incident to the Rapid Response Team of the
Health Department while keeping the body of the aged in the post mortem house. The
team reached the information and sent him to Gorakhpur Medical College for
investigation.
According
to CMS Dr. BP Singh, the old man was already a patient of TB. He had
trouble breathing with fever, cough. The doctor admitted him to the
isolation ward. The body has been sent for post-mortem along with sending
samples and checking.
