Kathmandu On the issue of the Lipulekh-Dharachula route, negotiations are continuing in India and Nepal. A few days ago, Indian Army Chief General Narwane said that Nepal was opposing this route at the behest of someone else. Now Nepal's Defense Minister Ishwar Pokharel has criticized the statement of the Indian Army Chief. Pokharel said on Monday- The statement of the Indian Army Chief on the script account is an insult to the history of our country. Is it professional to make a political statement of the Indian Army Chief?
India inaugurated the Lipulekh-Dharachula route on 8 May. Nepal had objected, calling it a unilateral decision. India rejected it.

Narwane's statement The outrageous
Pokharel answered questions on the scriptwriting issue in an interview to 'The Rising Nepal' newspaper. On General Narvan's statement, say, "His statement is derogatory. Nepal's history, social character and independence have been overlooked. The Indian army chief has also hurt the sentiments of Nepali Gorkha jawans. They put their lives at stake to protect India. "The Nepal Defense Minister said.

The example of the Nepalese Army
How professional is it to make such a political statement of the army chief? This does not happen with us. The Nepali army does not speak on such matters. As a close and friend of Nepal, India should respond positively. When the conversation takes place, we will keep everything in clear words The conversation will be based not on the mind but on facts and evidence. ”
Last week, Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also said that it is not right for the military to speak between two neighboring countries.

What was General Narwane said?
On 15 May, General Narwane surprised Nepal's objection to the road construction up to 5 km before Lipulekh Pass. Narwane pointed to China without naming it. Narwane had said, "There is a possibility that Nepal is opposing the way of scriptwriting at the behest of someone else. The road formed by the Border Road Organization (BRO) is west of the Kali River. So, I do not know what they (Nepal) are opposing.

Nepal had raised objection after the inauguration of the Lipulekh route
India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Lipulekh-Dharachula route on 8 May. Nepal had objected, calling it a unilateral decision. He claims that the entire area east of the Mahakali River falls within the Nepal border. In response, the Ministry of External Affairs of India had said - The script comes under our border. Earlier, Mansarovar Yatra has been traveling through this path. We have now made it easier for pilgrims, local people and businessmen to travel through good roads by building only on this route.
